Researchers believe that the black and white stripes of the zebra developed in order to confuse predators. When a herd is threatened they can swarm like a tornado of stripes effectively hiding head from tail. Conversely the ancient textile texts write: “one man’s plaid is another man's animal print.”

Animal prints are decidedly classic and thus especially fun to flip. I could remix zebras all day. Here we have shoelaces standing in for stripes, folding over and ending in the occasional aglet with a nice execution by the designers at Gravis.
