4 Tessellation

A tessellation is defined as a single shape that will tile seamlessly with no overlaps or gaps. The word "tessella" means "small square" (from "tessera", square, which in its turn is from the Greek word for "four"). Here we have the tessellating 4-color ‘F’ representing the ‘F’ in Flow Snowboards but also open to other interpretation. In application for the freestyle model (pictured) we got jiggy with several different sizing’s on the top sheet, a little 1-color micro fill here, a bigger macro component there, you know, jiggy. Designing the freeride step-brother version called for a toned down micro sized print in 4 shades of gray which gives you a bit of that carbon fiber vibe.
